2006 年對林宇中來說是充滿驚喜與意外的一年，就像是他獲頒第十七屆金曲獎新人獎
時所說的第一句話「死而無憾」，林宇中說：「很多好事發生在我身上，非常不可思
議，真的死而無憾了！像是原來只是和公司簽創作約；後來老闆要求改合約要我發片
當歌手，想都沒想過會拍戲；結果試鏡後就成了男主角，當歌手後第一次入圍獎項；
就獲得了一生一次的金曲新人獎，簡直是意外的人生啊！」。
